On Nov. 3, 2015, the voters of Forest Lake Area Schools will once again have a chance to vote on a bond referendum that would make repairs and upgrades to all of the district's buildings. On the ballot, the referendum will be divided into two questions.
Passage of Question #1 will mean that the district will receive upgrades in the areas of safety and security, energy efficiency, and the repairs or replacement of many items that have come into disrepair. These include: roofs; boilers; heating, ventillation and air conditioning (HVAC) systems
Passage of Question #2 will mean the high school will have a varsity track, after nearly 15 years without a home track. The high school's performing arts center will receive upgrades, and other arts and athletics facilities around the district will receive upgrades, repairs and improvements.
Question #1 must pass in order for Question #2 to pass.

All families can access school grades and other information through School View. The forms can be sent home with your child or emailed to the parent. Once the completed form is returned to the office, an access key is sent back and your School View account is then ready to be set up for your viewing. This is a great way to keep track of your child's school work. Call the office at 651-982-3200 or email firstname.lastname@example.org if you would like to get started.
If your family changes a phone number, email address, or moves to a new address this summer, please be sure to inform FLE office as soon as possible. We need to have up-to date information in order for upcoming mailings, transporation changes that need to be made and such.
If you are planning to have your child ride a different bus to or from school, other than at your home address, a Change of Transportation Form needs to be completed (every year) in order for bussing to be in line for the start of school. These forms can be downloaded or stop by the school to pick one up.

A change in the birthday treat policy at all Forest Lake Area Schools effective immediately. No treats or food should be brought or sent to school for birthdays. Classrooms will still recognize and celebrate student birthdays, but due to many food allergies, loss of instructional time and other issues, our district has come to this decision.
In addition to treats, FLE administration would appreciate if families did not deliver or bring in flowers, balloons, candy or other such items to our students at school.
