Forest Lake Elementary

A bold, modern, colorful and fully responsive template

Let us celebrate the wonderful teachers we have at Forest Lake Elementary during the week of May 2-6.

It it very important that students are in attendance every day. We realize there are appointments, sickness and emergencies that do occur. If you know your child won't be in school for whatever reason, please be sure to call in to the attendance line at 651-982-3203. The county has requirements on how we must keep attendance.  We also have legal required mandates on reporting truancy which is based heavily on unexcused absences. With this being said, it is very important that parents call in to confirm where your child is.

Summer Reading for Rangers Book Drive

Summer Reading Book Drive

The Forest Lake Education Association (FLEA) is sponsoring a book drive for gently used books of any level or for any age that you no longer have use for. The collected books will then be distributed to students that will be attending summer school in the district and will be able to keep them for their own personal use.
Feel free to drop off any books for this great project in the office at Forest Lake Elementary.  The book drive runs until May 13th.
Thanks in advance for your support !

MCA Testing

Each year the state of Minnesota requires all fourth, fifth and sixth graders to participate in academic testing (MCA's) in mathematics and reading. Fifth graders also must participate in academic testing for science. These tests will begin the week of April 11 - 27.
Please be sure students come to school with a good night's sleep before they test and a nutritious breakfast is very helpful. Classroom teachers will be in touch with more precise times of their class's testing schedule.

Important Testing Dates
Please mark your calendars for these important testing dates for students at Forest Lake Elementary.
